Unlike traditional supermarkets, these stores aren’t open to walk-in customers. Their compact layout allows staff to quickly pick and pack items for immediate dispatch.

Companies like Getir and Gorillas pioneered this model in major cities, promising groceries in under 10 minutes. In India, Zepto became a notable player by building a network of micro-warehouses to support rapid delivery in densely populated neighborhoods.

By placing inventory close to customers and using data to predict demand, these companies minimize travel distance and maximize speed.

  1. Unmatched Convenience – Forgotten ingredients or last-minute needs are no longer a problem.
  2. Time-Saving – Busy professionals and families save hours otherwise spent commuting and shopping.
  3. Impulse Buying – Quick access encourages spontaneous purchases.

For urban residents, especially younger generations, the ability to solve everyday problems instantly has become deeply appealing.

The 10-minute delivery boom has attracted massive investment. Venture capitalists see quick commerce as the next frontier in retail innovation. The model combines technology, logistics, and consumer data to create a highly optimized ecosystem.

Retailers also benefit from valuable insights into purchasing habits, allowing for better inventory planning and targeted promotions. As competition grows, companies differentiate themselves through wider product ranges, subscription models, and loyalty rewards.
